That dark shading on his leg makes me want to cry
I would probably like this drawing if i hadn't done that bit so dark... :/

Honestly i'd given up on it about.. near enough 2 years before i finished it XD

it's so nice to see some interesting personal work in your gallery sapph. The trades and commissions you post are stunning technique wise, but personal work is where you really amaze me. I miss your interesting character designs and darker work, like this beauty. The detail is amazing, and drawings in black pencil have always been a favourite of mine.
can't wait til you have time for more pieces like this <3

Haha yeah, it's really starting to feel like any personal art (completed anyway) is a rare sight indeed, but does feel nice to upload something of my own from time to time
But i'm just glad you like my designs so much ;-; it's so much fun working with designs and greyscale, i'm almost alittle bit obsessed with monochrome creatures haha, so it's just nice to hear that people like them alot aswell

I like the dark bit, I think it works well with the composition, balancing out the tones and whatever. (: The detail in this is awesome and I'm so glad you've finally finished it, it's been too long. D:<

But anyway, I hope your mum likes it, it's awesome and all the time and effort's certainly paid off. <3

I dunno, the dark bit just seems far too dark for the rest of the drawing :s almost like a really childish sort of shading where there's no control of the shading and it's just all... PUSH TO GET THE SHADE! thing :s if you know what i mean X3 but my mum just told me off for nit picking things again O:
She loved it though, and i know! My timing is so terrible! Sucks abit that this was started 2 years ago but is still at my standard now though XD /dies

Haha, I do know what you mean. :') And then once it's too dark there's nothing you can do about it. I still think it looks okay, though, I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't aware it was there. (;

And awwwwww! I'm glad she liked it! And she's right, stop nitpicking, woman! It looks fine and she loved it. So nerr.

Haha, it does look really good. (: Portraits tend to take me as long as this did for you, so no worries. :')
